Swiss watch maker MIDO has unveiled a new limited edition of the All Dial collection inspired by the design of the Colosseum, a building that symbolizes the eternal city of Rome. It is said to have a meaning to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Inspired by Architecture, which is the motto of this year’s collection. Let’s take a look at the hottest new products together.
The distinctive cylindrical case of the All Dial collection is crafted from stainless steel. The case has a diameter of 42mm and a thickness of 10.1mm, and with a screw-down crown, it is water-resistant up to a practical 100m. The front glass is sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, which contributes to the best readability. The anthracite color dial is finished in a matte finish, and the white Super-LumiNova-coated appliqué index is placed in the center, and only the background is grained so that the texture can be felt to add a three-dimensional effect. Also, the tiers rise at an angle to the outside of the dial, reminiscent of the amphitheater stands of the Colosseum. And just like the existing all-dial products, the day and date are displayed side by side through the window at 3 o’clock.imitazioni orologi
The case-integrated bracelet is also made of steel, and most of the links are finished with a satin brushed finish, while some of the connecting parts are polished to show the harmony of gloss and shine. The ergonomically designed bracelet that adds a retro mood to the relatively slim case provides excellent wearing comfort.
The movement is equipped with the typical universal automatic caliber ETA 2836 with date and day display (frequency of 4 Hz, power reserve of approx. 40 hours). The power reserve is a bit disappointing compared to the products of Mido’s other flagship collections, which are equipped with caliber 80 based on ETA C07. It offsets the shortcomings in terms of accuracy and stability. Instead of exposing the movement on a solid steel caseback, the collection’s inspiration is engraved with a special engraving of the Colosseum. In addition, the limited edition unique number (XXXX/2022) is engraved on the bottom of the caseback, which is strictly managed.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the all-dial architectural inspiration, the new limited edition (Ref. M8340.4.B3.11) for 2022 will be limited to a total of 2,022 pieces. It is delivered in a special package. Starting this month, you can find them sequentially at replica Mido stores in major department stores nationwide, and the domestic launch price was set at 1.81 million won.
